Gamification Gurus Perk – write an Op-Ed at

I’m delighted to announce that, the world’s top gamification news, data and events portal, are offering a perk for the Top 40 Gamification Gurus each month – the opportunity to write an opinion piece on their newswire.

It wouldn’t be gamification though if there weren’t a few rules to take into account! These are quite simply:

  1. You need to be in the Top 40 of the gurus for the forthcoming month to qualify for the Op-Ed program
  2. You have to write and submit your Op-Ed before the end of that calendar month.

This will help us as a community to continue to build and evangelize the best practice market for gamification by bringing more of the world’s gamification experts, teachers and evangelists to spread the message.

To become a gamification guru you just need to sign up and then promote conversations and content on social media around the industry hashtag #gamification.  Those gurus with the best response and interest from their audience will climb the gurus table based on our automated ranking algorithms.  To get the best score you need to sign in and add your social media profiles to your leaderboarded account.

When you do take advantage of this perk, please do let me know. Why not paste a link to your article as a comment on this blog post? As an added incentive, I will count  posts on your gurus score and they will be worth triple points for that month (e.g. one post on gets the same number of points as 3 posts on your own blog)!

  • Aww, too bad I’m already contributing to before this was declared! Where does my 3x points go? ;-P

  • Hehe, We’ll fight hard to be ” in the Top 40 of the gurus”

    • Great, though please note that gurus must be individuals to play. Company accounts are in most cases disqualified from playing.
